Rapid Suburban Development in Arizona and Israel, October 25, 2000

A panel discussion on Rapid Suburban Development in Arizona and Israel, focusing on issues of sustainable development, environmental education and community organization, will be held in Tucson, Arizona at the Wilmot Public Library meeting room on Wednesday, October 25, 2000, 6:30-8:30 pm.

Tucson panel participants include: Dr. Kennith Foster, President, International Arid Lands Consortium; Luther Propst, Executive Director, Sonoran Institute; Rochelle Gerratt, Coalition for Jewish Life and the Environment (COEJL); Rabbi Jonathan Freirich, Director, Hillel Center; Rabbi Tom Louchheim, Congregation Or Chadash; and Yizhar Hess, Director, Israel Center.

Representatives from the Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel (SPNI), Sharon Hoffman, Director of Foreign Relations and Resource Developmentn and Eitan Gdalizon, Executive Director, are guest speakers. The America-Israel Friendship League, Tucson Chapter is sponsoring the event.
