Water Scarcity, Human Security and Democratization: Aspects and Impacts of The Syrian Crisis
The IALC was one of the co-conveners of this event held on April 19, 2016 at the Water for Food Dougherty Global Institute (University of Nebraska, Lincoln (UNL)). This workshop focused on the intersection between water scarcity, human security and democratization as related to the Syrian refugee crisis in the arid lands of the Middle East. The all-day workshop attracted more than 90 people from UNL and the broader community. Students played a strong role in the event through social media and video productions.
